Our Global Opportunity

Rapid advances in technology are having a significant impact on the B2B sector.

While Business-to-Consumer (B2C) eCommerce - trading online via a computer or mobile smartphone - has been standard since the advent of Amazon in the 1990s, B2B has taken a while to catch up.

Now, however, all trends point to a massive upward trend in B2B eCommerce. People now expect their day-to-day work lives to reflect the digital convenience that is now routine in online consumer shopping.

As manufacturers and wholesalers rapidly migrate from legacy systems to online platforms, growth in B2B eCommerce is surging.

Major global research studies from the likes of Forrester and Frost & Sullivan have predicted that B2B eCommerce in the US alone will reach almost $1.2 trillion by 2020 - a remarkable 100% increase in just six years. And globally, the outlook is just as positive, with the worldwide B2B eCommerce market expected to reach more than $6.7 trillion by 2020.

Our Background

In early 2012 we embarked on a journey to develop an eCommerce product deeply integrated with ERP systems.  The goal was to provide real-time stock, pricing and account information as well as real-time B2B ordering.

Our first product was called WebShop.

Through a Beta group of customers of our first partner, ERP provider Intact Software, we compiled a detailed list of requirements specific for the wholesale and B2B industry.

This led to our first unified feature list to develop the best possible B2B integrated eCommerce platform.

Building on this we then focused on the ambitions of wholesale companies to also offer B2C eCommerce features.  In late 2013 Aphix WebShop launched a new Omni-channel ecommerce feature set.

In 2014 we moved into the mobile application space with our first enterprise tablet application, SalesRep.

Both WebShop and SalesRep shared the same trusted, reliable, real-time cloud system, real-time integration with your ERP system provided sales teams with up-to-date account information, order history, stock, pricing and real time ordering capabilities directly from their iPads or Android tablets.

As the team and our valued customer base have grown, we have continuously released updated versions of both our WebShop eCommerce suite and our SalesRep mobile apps with great new features.

The combination of detailed feedback from our fantastic customers with our creative team’s technology and industry knowledge has helped Aphix remain at the cutting edge of B2B digital transformation.
